Welcome to Villa del Monte. We built this house
for friends and visitors from all over the world to enjoy the fresh mountain air and vistas of the surrounding hills in central western Crete. It is just outside the village of Koumi which itself is only 15 min from Rethymno which has beaches, restaurants, and markets. The house is also not far from beaches on the south coast of Crete.
The house is modern and spacious with three levels, multiple terraces and views in several directions. It is surrounded by pine and fruit trees planted years ago by our family so there is plenty of shade and cooling breezes. It's perfect place to relax in and to enjoy absolute tranquility, apart from busier hotels of a larger town. You can listen to sheep bells from across the valley and birds that sing in the vegetation around you.
The house offers a perfect combination of rustic surroundings with all of the modern and luxurious amenities you could need whether you stay for a few days or a month. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us in this place we built with love.
