In one of the most beautiful places of Kefalonia, in the Southwest side of the island located the coastal area of Agios Thomas with the homonymous beach, which has Geological, Paleontological, Aesthetic and Mythological interest.
Natural craters have been created on the coastline, which collect seawater, which after evaporating leaves a brine percussion ("afrala") which is collected by the locals and is essentially the "salt flower".
The area is located close to Argostoli (14km), Airport (12km) and just a few minutes driving distance from the well-known beaches "Trapezaki", "Lourdas".
Nearby is the Castle of Agios Georgios, the Mycenaean cemetery of Mazarakata, the Monastery of Agios Andreas Milapidias which has a Byzantine Ecclesiastical Museum.
