The house is located in a peaceful and lush green area in the traditional village of Agia Irini, just a short drive from the port of Poros. Its location makes it an ideal base to explore the southern and southeastern part of Kefalonia, where some of the island’s most stunning beaches can be found — Skala, Mounda, Kaminia, and Lourdas. With a little luck, you may even spot the famous Caretta-caretta sea turtles that often nest along these shores.
Nearby, you can also visit the historic chapel of Panagia Fidousa, where each August the miraculous appearance of the small snakes attracts visitors and pilgrims from all over Greece.
Only a few kilometers away rises Mount Ainos, a national park known for its rare fir forest and breathtaking hiking trails. Whether you prefer swimming in crystal-clear waters, exploring cultural landmarks, or walking in nature, the neighborhood offers a perfect balance of tranquility and easy access to Kefalonia’s treasures.
